Queen Ashley hails Ooni at 10th coronation anniversary, declares unwavering loyalty

Queen Ashley, the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has congratulated the monarch on his 10th coronation anniversary.

In a message shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, she praised Ooni’s leadership over the past decade and prayed for continued wisdom, strength and divine favour in his reign.

She described the last 10 years as a period marked by grace, wisdom and divine strength, adding that the monarch had remained steadfast through challenges and led with “integrity and humility”.

Queen Ashley also reiterated her commitment to the Ooni, saying she would continue to support him and walk beside him in the years ahead.

She wrote, “My Dearest Husband, Ooni Agbaye, Olofin Ajalaye, Olori Alade Gbogbo, My King, The One Whose Heart I Hold and Who Holds Mine

“Happy 10th Coronation Anniversary to You, My Love. It feels just like yesterday when my late father, of blessed memory, foresaw what has now become our beautiful reality. Among the many princes, he predicted that you would be the chosen one, the destined heir to ascend the throne and he also foretold that we would walk this divine journey side by side.

“Today, as we mark ten glorious years of your reign upon the throne of our forefathers, my heart overflows with gratitude, joy, and immense pride. I celebrate you, my crown jewel, my confidant, my love, and my king.

‘Congratulations, my dearest husband, Olowo Ori Afolasade, on this remarkable milestone your 10th Coronation Anniversary. May your reign continue to flourish in wisdom, grace, and divine favor, as Olodumare continues to guide and bless your path.

She thanked God for sustaining the monarch’s reign and referenced what she described as prophecies, including those from her late father, about the Ooni’s ascension.

“I give all glory to Olodumare, the Almighty, who began this journey with you and has sustained you every step of the way. I thank Him for fulfilling His word, for even before this throne was yours, it had been spoken, prophesied and affirmed by many, including my late father of blessed memory that you were destined to be king. And today, we stand in awe of how faithfully Olodumare’s purpose has unfolded in your life.

“These ten years have been filled with grace, wisdom, and divine strength. You have reigned with honor and ruled with a heart full of love, compassion, and courage. Through every challenge and every triumph, you have remained steadfast, and I have watched with deep admiration as you led with integrity and humility.

Queen Ashley further expressed gratitude for their son, Adémákinwá, and said attempts to “shake our union” had not succeeded.

“My love, Oko Mi, Ninolowo Baba ADEMAKINWA, Olewalowo, Ekun Oko Ekun, as we mark this tenth year of your reign, I stand here once more to renew my unwavering support and my eternal devotion. I promise to continue walking beside you for many more decades to come, in good health, joy, peace, love, abundance, and wealth.

“I thank Olodumare again, for though the enemies tried to shake our union and tear us apart, they did not prevail. He who joined us together knew that we were destined for each other, that you needed a LOVE as strong and FAITHFUL as mine, and that I needed a king as wise, patient, and loving as you.

“I thank Him for our precious gift, our beautiful son ADEMAKINWA, in whom He has blessed us with joy and purpose. Truly, the enemies had no power over our love, our home, or our destiny.

‘I proclaim today and forevermore my undying love for you. May our bond remain unshaken, our hearts forever intertwined. We shall continue to grow together in love, live together in harmony, and walk side by side in peace and unity, for many more beautiful years ahead, many more decades, till we are both old and grey.
