Tinubu to spend end of year in Lagos, visits Borno, Bauchi
President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday for visits to Borno and Bauchi states before proceeding to Lagos, where he will round off his end-of-year activities.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said in a statement on Friday that while in Borno State, the President will commission projects executed by Governor Babagana Zulum and the Federal Government.
The President will also attend the wedding ceremony of Sadeeq Sheriff, son of former Borno State governor Ali Modu Sheriff, and his bride, Hadiza Kam Salem.
From Maiduguri, President Tinubu will travel to Bauchi to condole with the Bauchi State Government and the family of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the late renowned Muslim cleric and leader of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood.
The cleric died on November 27, and the President had earlier sent a high-powered delegation led by Vice President Kashim Shettima to represent him at the burial.
After the condolence visit, the President will proceed to Lagos, where he will spend the end-of-year holidays.
