The Kofoworola Aderonke Foundation has graduated 14 women and girls who completed its nine-month vocational and personal development programme.
Out of the graduates, 11 completed training in fashion, while three were certified in baking.
The graduation ceremony, held on Saturday at Grace Court Hall, Redemption City, Ogun State, marked the seventh edition of the foundation’s empowerment initiative.
The head of the foundation, Mrs Doyin Omojola, said the programme is driven by the need to build skilled and confident women.
She added that the foundation’s work is rooted in women’s empowerment.
“When a woman is empowered, she becomes a pillar in her home and in society. Empowering a woman means empowering a nation. At KAF, excellence is the watchword.”
Omojola noted that the participants joined the programme out of a genuine desire for growth, not because it was free.
A fashion model and enthusiast, Grace Dauda, who attended the ceremony and also modelled a wedding dress for the foundation, spoke on the importance of personal appearance.
“Modelling is a way of life. The way you dress is the way you are addressed. Dress in a way people will acknowledge you properly,” she said.
Those presented with certificates included Akinbola Esosa, Anthony Onyeche, Victoria Tochukwu, Zainab Adejoke, Alli Abiodun and Toyo Orimidara.
One of the graduating trainees, Ajibade Opeyemi, described the training as demanding but transformative.
“It was not easy; there were a lot of challenges. Sometimes I would finish sewing a dress and be asked to redo it, and I had to do it because that is what I’m being trained for,” she said.
The event featured exhibitions, runway presentations and testimonies from the graduates.
The foundation is expected to commence its next training cycle in 2026.
