Adamawa State Set to Empower 100,000 More Citizens Through Fintiri Business Wallet
The Adamawa State government’s flagship poverty alleviation initiative, the Fintiri Business Wallet Programme administered by the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), continues to make significant strides in empowering residents and boosting small-scale businesses across the state.
To date, 60,000 beneficiaries have been empowered with grants of ₦50,000 each, providing crucial capital for micro-entrepreneurs, particularly women and youths, to expand their trades and improve their livelihoods.
In a major expansion announced recently, 100,000 new beneficiaries are scheduled to receive ₦50,000 each this December, representing a ₦5 billion disbursement aimed at further reducing poverty and stimulating economic activity at the grassroots level.
This latest phase will bring the total number of direct beneficiaries to 140,000. Officials estimate that the programme’s ripple effects, through family support and community development, will positively impact approximately 700,000 people statewide.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has emphasized the initiative’s role in transforming Adamawa from a civil service-dependent economy into one driven by small businesses. The programme includes follow-up support such as training in bookkeeping, savings, and investment to ensure sustainable growth.
Beneficiaries are selected transparently from markets, streets, and homes across all 21 local government areas, with strict measures in place to prevent fraud and ensure funds reach the most vulnerable.
This empowerment drive aligns with the governor’s broader agenda of inclusive growth, youth and women development, and poverty reduction, building on previous phases that have already lifted thousands out of economic hardship.
Nigerians can now invest ₦2.5 million on premium domains and profit about ₦17-₦25 million. All earnings paid in US Dollars. Rather than wonder, click here to find out how it works.
