Kebbi police command gets new spokesperson

The Kebbi State Police Command has announced the appointment of SP Bashir Usman as its new Police Public Relations Officer, following a routine administrative posting approved by the Force.

Usman replaces Nafiu Kotarkoshi, who has been redeployed to head the General Investigation unit of the State Criminal Investigation Department in Birnin Kebbi.

This was contained in a statement by Kotarkoshi on Thursday.

Until his new assignment, Usman served as the Officer in Charge of General Investigation at the SCID, a role in which he was noted for professionalism and diligence.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Command said the new PPRO has pledged to uphold high standards of professionalism, transparency and public engagement in carrying out his duties.

The statement added that he is committed to strengthening trust and cooperation between the police and residents of the state.
