
2 farm workers charged for allegedly stealing pigs worth N3m
Two farm workers, Yusuf Lateef, 57, and Olaitan Tunde, 47, were on Wednesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing 12 pigs valued at N3 million.
The defendants are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp. Iyabo Oladoyin, alleged that the defendants and others at large conspired to steal the pigs in July at Akolo area, Ekeola village, Akinyele, Ibadan.
The stolen pigs were said to be the property of one Dr. Bolatito Akinbile.
Magistrate T. G. Daodu granted each defendant bail in the sum of N1m, with two sureties in like sum each. She adjourned the matter to February 25, 2026, for hearing. (NAN)
