
Bauchi Govt declares Friday free workday

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, on Thursday night declared tomorrow, Friday free work day in honour of late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Governor Bala’s adviser on media and publicity, Mukhtar Gidado and made available to newsmen in Bauchi.
He said that the declaration of the free day comes as to mark of respect and honour for late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, whose funeral prayer is scheduled to take place tomorrow in accordance with Islamic rites.
He further said that the decision is meant to enable government workers, students, followers of the late scholar, and the general public to participate in the funeral prayers and pay their last respects.
The government recognises the profound impact of Sheikh Bauchi’s life and legacy, his dedication to Islamic scholarship, Qur’anic education, spiritual mentorship, and promotion of peace, unity, and moral uprightness across Nigeria and beyond.
“As the state mourns this monumental loss, the government calls on all citizens , to join in prayers for the repose of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi’s soul, and to offer support and comfort to his family, students, followers, and the broader Muslim Ummah”
