FG warns public against fake recruitment
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has warned the public over a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating widely on social media.
The fake statement, dated 10th December 2025, falsely claims to provide details on the next stage of the ongoing CDCFIB recruitment exercise, including physical screening and document verification.
According to the notice, shortlisted applicants were instructed to visit a website, “recruitment cdcffib .government.ng,” between 15th and 19th December 2025 to select their preferred screening venue and date.
It also indicated that the screening exercise would take place from 22nd to 26th December 2025.
In a statement on Thursday, Abdulmalik Jibrin, Secretary to the Board, clarified that the notice is completely fraudulent.
It emphasised that he did not issue or sign any communication announcing screening dates or venues.
The board described the circulation of the fake notice as the work of “unscrupulous individuals” seeking to mislead and defraud unsuspecting job seekers.
The CDCFIB urged the public to ignore the fake notice and to rely solely on the Board’s verified official communication channels for authentic updates regarding recruitment exercises.
