LaLiga secures record €6.1bn domestic deal for 2027–32 cycle
LaLiga has completed the tender process for its domestic broadcasting rights, securing a total audiovisual rights value of €6.135 billion for the five-season cycle from 2027/28 to 2031/32.
This represents a significant 9% increase compared to the previous cycle (2022 to 2027).
The domestic residential rights alone exceeded €5.25 billion, a 6% increase over the prior cycle’s €4.95 billion.
Telefónica and DAZN have each been awarded rights to broadcast five matches per matchday over the five seasons, solidifying their positions as strategic partners.

The overall 9% growth is underpinned by strong performance across all complementary categories beyond the residential rights.
These gains reflect LaLiga’s expanding commercial model and sustained market strength.
LaLiga President Javier Tebas hailed the outcome, saying the ability to secure over €6.135 billion, at a time when several leagues face declining media valuations, highlights the resilience of Spanish football and the impact of the league’s anti-piracy efforts, improved audiovisual production, and enhanced fan experience.
Telefónica and DAZN’s renewed partnership further consolidates them as strategic broadcast leaders for LaLiga, with both operators having significantly boosted viewership and match attendance through high-quality coverage and innovation.
The five-year framework provides long-term stability, guarantees sustained broadcaster investment, and reinforces the financial sustainability of Spanish clubs.
