Kwaccham conferred as Sarkin Fulani of Mubi emirate
The Mubi Emirate Council in Adamawa State has appointed Alhaji Abdurrahman Buba Kwaccham as its pioneer Sarkin Fulani.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter presented to him by a delegation of title holders from the council, led by the Sarkin Fada of Mubi, Alhaji Saidu Jauro Bako, during a ceremony held on Sunday in Abuja.
While reading the appointment letter before a gathering of Adamawa residents in Abuja, a former Commissioner of Information and Strategy in the state, Alhaji Ahmad I. Sajo, said the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isa Ahmadu, conferred the title on Kwaccham in recognition of his immense contributions to humanity within and beyond the emirate.
“This should serve as a clear message to the younger generation that hard work and integrity will always be recognised and rewarded in any field of human endeavour. On behalf of myself, my council, and the entire people of the Mubi Emirate, please accept my heartfelt congratulations,” the statement read.
In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Abdurrahman Kwaccham thanked the Emir of Mubi for the honour and expressed appreciation to the governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for approving the appointment.
He pledged to work diligently as Sarkin Fulani of Mubi, sensitising his subjects on good citizenship and discouraging negative behaviours for which they had previously been stereotyped.
