The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the posting of Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohammed Adeola as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Airport Police Command, Lagos State.
According to a post obtained from the Airport Police Command’s X handle on Monday and signed by the Outgoing Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Police Daramola Kazeem, the appointment follows the recent redeployment of Public Relations Officers across various Commands and Formations of the Nigeria Police Force.
“Adeola, a native of Ibadan, Oyo State, is an alumnus of the Nigeria Police Academy. He joined the Force in 2018 as a Cadet ASP of Regular Course 5 and graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. After completing five years of combined academic and police training, he was recognised and awarded as the Best Cadet Officer in Character.
“Upon commissioning, he was posted to Osun State Command, where he served at Ota-Efun Division, taking on critical policing responsibilities including crime investigation, traffic management, and administrative duties. He later proceeded to the Force Headquarters, Abuja, serving as a Staff Officer in the Force Public Relations Department. During this period, he worked closely under the guidance of senior communication strategists, including DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, former Force Public Relations Officer, and CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the current FPRO.
“This has equipped him with experience that has firmly grounded him in modern police communication, media engagement, and strategic public relations management. ASP Adeola brings to his new assignment a blend of operational policing exposure and professional communication expertise, which will support the Airport Police Command in strengthening public engagement, enhancing stakeholder relations, and advancing the communication objectives of the Nigeria Police Force. He can be reached via 08058342093, as well as on social media through: X (Twitter): @Moh_Adeola, Facebook: Asp Mohammed Adeola, Instagram: @Moh_Adeola,” the statement added.
