
Firm modernises UNILAG advert lab

Explicit Communications Limited, led by its Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tunde Thani, has implemented an upgrade of the Public Relations and Advertising Laboratory of the Faculty of Communications and Media Studies at the University of Lagos, to meet modern realities.
Thani, at the inauguration, explained that the upgrade was aimed at creating a future-ready laboratory for the efficient training of public relations and advertising professionals.
The CEO, an alumnus of the faculty, added that the facility was fully equipped with advanced laptop links, high-speed internet connectivity, interactive media tools, graphic design resources, print technology, and access to mentorship and real-world simulation.
He said, “As the years went by, the world changed, our industry transformed rapidly, driven by technology, digital innovation, and now, artificial intelligence.
“It therefore became imperative that the lab be upgraded to meet current realities and prepare students for the future that is already upon us.”
He urged the students to ensure effective use of the lab to excel in their studies.
President of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria, Mr Lanre Adisa, at the event, advised the students to ensure proper use of the facilities in the lab to excel as public relations and advertising practitioners.
Dean of the faculty, Prof Oloruntola Sunday, lauded Thani for his contribution to the department and urged other alumni of the institution to also support the faculty.
