2 killed, 10 injured in multiple crashes near Abuja City gate

Two people lost their lives while ten others sustained injuries in multiple crashes which occurred near the city gate in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The FCT sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Felix Theman, confirmed the accident to our reporter through the telephone on Monday.

He said the accident, which happened on Sunday morning, involved five vehicles, saying one of the vehicles coming from Lugbe axis on speed suddenly lost control and crashed into four other vehicles.

According to him, two people lost their lives in the car that lost control, while ten others sustained injuries from other vehicles.

The FRSC sector commander said the two corpses have been deposited at the National Hospital morgue, while the ten injured victims were also receiving treatment at the same hospital.
