Levene Energy Holdings Group CEO Wins SERAS 2025 Sustainability Man of the Year Award for Advancing Nigeria’s First Fully Automated Solar Panel Facility

Nzan Ogbe, Group Chief Executive Officer of Levene Energy Holdings, has been named Sustainability Man of the Year at SERAS (Sustainability, Enterprise and Responsibility Awards for Africa) 2025 for leading the development of Nigeria’s first fully automated solar panel manufacturing facility. The project, backed by investment in excess of $20 million (predominantly self-funded from internally generated business revenues), marks a major step forward for the country’s renewable energy landscape.

The facility raises the scale and efficiency of local solar production. Its automated systems deliver consistent output, reduces waste, and limits dependence on imported panels, which shortens delivery timelines and speeds up solar deployment nationwide. The project marks a major step in establishing a homegrown renewable manufacturing base capable of meeting rising demand in Nigeria and across Africa.

This recognition places Mr. Ogbe among a distinguished group of past honorees that includes Tony Elumelu (Tony Elumelu Foundation), Aliko Dangote (Aliko Dangote Foundation), as well as Lieutenant General (Sir) Seretse Khama (Former President of the Republic of Botswana) amongst others. The award underscores the relevance of his contribution at a time when Nigeria is pushing for cleaner, more reliable energy systems. By establishing a locally built and automated facility, Levene Energy is helping reduce import dependence, support job creation, and advance national sustainability objectives.

Speaking on the recognition, Nzan Ogbe said, “This award is both a recognition and a responsibility. It gives us a louder voice and a wider platform to bring awareness to the urgent sustainability challenges facing Africa. And more importantly, it empowers us to continue advocating for what the continent needs most: scaled, equitable financing that will unlock clean energy access for hundreds of millions of Africans”.

Levene Energy, through LPV Technologies, has commenced export of solar panels to Ghana and across the rest of West Africa. The company plans to scale the plant’s capacity and deepen its investments in clean energy solutions that improve access, efficiency, and resilience across the country and beyond.
