Borno PDP: Wike-led faction gives Bala-led group 48 hours to hand over
The Nyesom Wike-affiliated faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Borno State has issued the Bala Mohammed-affiliated faction a 48-hour ultimatum to hand over party structures and documents or face legal consequences.
The directive underscores how national-level factionalism within the PDP has filtered down to the state chapter.
The announcement was made by the State Working Caretaker Committee Chairman, Dr. Gremaa Kyari, during a press conference in Maiduguri on Monday.
The handover is to be made to the newly constituted Borno State PDP Working Caretaker Committee, led by Comrade Abbas Musa Jibrin (Chairman) and Hon. Haruna Audi (Secretary), within 48 hours to allow the commencement of fresh ward, local government and state congresses.
During its stakeholders’ meeting, the Wike-led faction passed a vote of confidence on its national leader, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and the national working committee chaired by Abdulrahman Mohammed with Samuel Anyanwu as secretary.
