Abductors of 3 varsity students demand N30m ransom
The abductors of three students of the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State, have reportedly demanded a ransom of N30 million for them to regain freedom.
A mother of one of the victims disclosed this in a viral video on social media while begging for help to raise the ransom.
The woman said that the abductors had contacted her for ransom. In the video seen by Daily Trust, the woman was heard saying,” I am the mother of one of the students, they are demanding N30 million, please help me, I don’t know where I will get such money from.”
Recall that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted the students from a hostel at Ihunmudum area of Ekpoma, in Esan West Local Government Area and took them into the bush.
The students were reportedly kidnapped at gunpoint from the hostel while driving into the compound.
The State Command’s spokesperson, Moses Yamu, had yet to respond to the demand for ransom, as calls and messages to his phone were unanswered at the time of filing the report.
