Construction firm appoints new CEO
Construction Kaiser Limited (CKL), one of Nigeria’s leading building and civil engineering companies, has announced a major leadership transition as Stefan Euchenhofer is set to take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective January 3rd, 2026.
The announcement marks a significant milestone in the company’s 32-year history and signals the beginning of a new chapter in CKL’s growth and innovation strategy.
Stefan Euchenhofer’s appointment comes as part of a planned succession strategy to ensure the long-term sustainability and expansion of CKL.
Igbuan Okaisabor, who founded the company in 1993 and has served as CEO since its inception, will step down after 32 years of exceptional leadership.
Under his guidance, CKL grew from a small indigenous construction startup into one of the most respected names in Nigeria’s construction sector.
In a statement, Okaisabor expressed confidence that Euchenhofer’s leadership would continue to strengthen CKL’s legacy and drive future growth.
“Stefan’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for CKL,” Okaisabor said.
“His leadership will enhance our capacity for innovation, sustainability, and long-term growth as we position ourselves for the next phase of expansion,” he added.
Euchenhofer brings over 30 years of international experience in the construction industry, including 15 years of work in Nigeria.
His expertise spans building construction, civil and structural engineering, infrastructure delivery, and senior business leadership.
Known for his ability to lead successful project implementations, manage contracts, control costs, and turn around underperforming operations, Euchenhofer has a proven track record in strengthening organizations and driving performance in challenging environments.
Before joining CKL, Euchenhofer held the position of Managing Director for multiple subsidiaries of PERI Formwork and Scaffolding, where he worked in the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Nigeria. He was instrumental in leading the Nigerian subsidiary through challenging economic periods, including a recession and the COVID-19 pandemic, while achieving notable revenue growth.
In welcoming Euchenhofer to the company, CKL’s board expressed confidence in his ability to lead the company to new heights.
“We are excited to have Stefan join the CKL family,” said the board in a statement, adding, “His experience, leadership, and strategic vision will ensure that CKL continues to thrive and achieve new milestones as a leader in Nigeria’s construction industry.”
With a focus on continuity, innovation, and operational excellence, Euchenhofer’s appointment is seen as a pivotal moment in the company’s ongoing journey toward becoming a stronger, more competitive player in the global construction market.
