Police recover seven stolen vehicles in Kano

The Kano State Police Command has recovered seven stolen vehicles and arrested several suspects in coordinated operations targeting vehicle theft and related crimes, including armed robbery.
According to a statement released on Monday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the recoveries were carried out by the Special Intervention Squad under the direction of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Bakori.
Notable vehicles recovered include a Toyota RAV4 (ash), Peugeot 406 (red), Toyota Corolla (black), Toyota Yaris (Gombe 121 AH), a truck without body, a white Toyota Matrix, and a white Forland truck (GAK 701 XA).
CSP Kiyawa added that suspects linked to the stolen vehicles and armed robbery have been arrested and are assisting with ongoing investigations.
“The Command remains committed to bringing all perpetrators to justice and ensuring the safety of lives and property across Kano State,” he said.
CP Bakori commended the officers for their professionalism and dedication.
He also expressed appreciation to residents for their prayers, support, and cooperation, which he said have contributed to the success of these operations.
The Kano State Police Command urged citizens to continue collaborating with security agencies and report suspicious activities to maintain peace and security throughout the state.
