Ex-CDS Musa meets Tinubu at Aso Rock
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday.
Last month, President Tinubu undertook a major change in the leadership of the Armed Forces, relieving some Service Chiefs, including Musa, of their duties.
The Presidency had said the decision was aimed at strengthening the nation’s security architecture.
General Olufemi Oluyede, who was Chief of Army Staff, replaced General Musa as Chief of Defence Staff.
Major-General W. Shaibu was appointed Chief of Army Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke took over as Chief of Air Staff, while Rear Admiral I. Abbas assumed office as Chief of Naval Staff.
However, since the changes the insecurity in the country has refused to abate.
Musa, who arrived at the State House at 7 pm, was led into the President’s office by a senior security official.
