
Kwara varsity final-year student dies in road crash
A final-year student of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has died in a road accident.
The student, Idris Aremu Agboluaje, reportedly lost his life on Wednesday, while on his way to the university to sit for an examination.
Witnesses said the accident occurred along one of the main roads leading into Malete, although details surrounding the crash were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
In a statement issued on Thursday night, the management of Kwara State University expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased.
“The management of Kwara State University feels deeply pained by the loss of a promising young man and prays that God consoles his family, friends, loved ones and the entire KWASU community,” the statement, signed by the Registrar, Dr Kikelomo W. Sallee, read.
