25 Turkish universities in Abuja for education fair
No fewer than 25 international universities from Turkey converged on the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Abuja Continental Hotel for the maiden AskPairs Study in Turkey and Discover Your Potential Nigeria Education Fair, opening up fresh global pathways for Nigerian students.
The founder, AskPairs Serhat Akdaniz, described the fair as the first of its kind in Nigeria as it brought together representatives of leading Turkish institutions to engage directly with prospective students and their families, offering on-the-spot admissions, scholarship guidance and firsthand information about studying in Turkey.
Speaking at the fair, a representative of AskPairs in Nigeria, Mohammed Garba, shared personal insights into the academic and economic advantages of studying in the country. He described Turkey as a destination that blends academic excellence, cultural diversity and affordability.
“A lot of opportunities exist to work and even start businesses. Students can work part-time in university sectors, hospital sectors and other industries while studying,” he said.
He noted that he now runs an education consultancy and health tourism company in Turkey.
The managing director of Askuni-Nigeria, Abdullahi Ibrahim Audu, noted that the fair provided a rare opportunity for direct interaction, something organisers said could not be replaced by online search.
“Nowadays, information can be found on websites or search engines, but it is not like speaking directly with a university representative,” an organiser explained.
In his remarks, the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria Mehmet Poroy reassured parents and students of the safety and security of Nigerians studying in Turkey. He emphasised the strong bilateral ties between Turkey and Nigeria, noting that the growing partnership continues to strengthen educational and cultural exchange between both countries.
Nigerians can now invest ₦2.5 million on premium domains and profit about ₦17-₦25 million. All earnings paid in US Dollars. Rather than wonder, click here to find out how it works.
