The meetings, originally scheduled for December 15–16, 2025, have been shifted to December 18–19, the party said.
The adjustment was communicated in an official notice titled “Change of Meeting Dates”, issued by the party’s National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Basiru, and shared on his X handle on Sunday.
According to the notice, the National Caucus meeting will now be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., while the NEC meeting is rescheduled for Friday, December 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
Both sessions will take place at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The document emphasises that all members are invited in accordance with Articles 12.3 and 13.3 of the APC Constitution, which outline the composition of these key party organs.
The National Caucus comprises high-profile figures, including the President and Vice President of Nigeria, past and present APC-affiliated presidents and vice presidents, serving and former governors, and zonal representatives.
The NEC, the party’s highest decision-making body, includes “the National Chairman, Deputy National Chairmen (North and South), National Secretary, Deputy National Secretary, National Legal Adviser, Deputy Legal Adviser, National Treasurer, and Deputy Treasurer.”
Others include the National Organising Secretary, National Financial Secretary, National Publicity Secretary, National Women and Youth Leaders, Deputy Leaders, State Chairmen, zonal representatives, and members elected by the National Convention, among others.
The rescheduling comes just days after the initial announcement of the December 15–16 dates, which were intended to mark the party’s first major gatherings in over a year.
The notice did not specify reasons for the change.
“All Members are by this invitation to TAKE NOTICE of the meeting in accordance with Article 11.5 of the Constitution,” the notice stated.
