Arteta: Carabao Cup final boost to fuel Arsenal's EPL title push
Mikel Arteta has expressed confidence that Arsenal will use the momentum and energy gained from reaching the Carabao Cup final to fuel their Premier League title ambition.
Arteta’s side edged Chelsea 1–0 in the semi-final second leg on Tuesday, with Kai Havertz scoring with virtually the last kick of the game to seal a 4–2 aggregate victory.

After three successive second-place finishes in the Premier League and a series of near misses in knockout competitions, reaching a final offers Arsenal the chance to shake off their reputation as perennial bridesmaids.
In their first final in six years, Arsenal will face either Manchester City or Newcastle United at Wembley on March 22. City currently hold a 2–0 advantage over Newcastle ahead of Wednesday’s second-leg clash at the Etihad Stadium.

The season is shaping up to be a memorable one for Arsenal, who sit six points clear at the top of the Premier League and have already reached the Champions League last 16 after winning all eight of their group matches.
“Well, it’s the best vitamins that we can put in our bodies because we’re playing every three days,” Arteta said.
“The fact that you work so hard to achieve those moments and to have these moments together is just magical. You can see the joy, the smiles and the energy in the dressing room and among everybody who works at the club.
“Winning helps in every sense: confidence, energy, whatever you want to call it. We’ll be there in a few weeks.
“In the meantime, we know we have to put it aside because three days later we have a massive Premier League game. We’re competing on all fronts, and that’s where we want to be. So let’s keep moving.”
The roar that swept around the Emirates Stadium as Arteta celebrated Havertz’s late winner underlined the significance of the result for Arsenal and their silverware-hungry supporters.
Arsenal’s last Premier League triumph came in the 2003/04 season; now the Gunners have a chance to end a long trophy drought by claiming their first silverware since lifting the FA Cup in 2020.
