The victims, Uwa Greg, 47, and Airen Osahimwian, 37, were rescued during a bush-combing operation in Ugha Forest by the Police.
The Command’s spokesperson, CSP Moses Yamu, said the rescue followed a gun duel between the police and the kidnappers who, in the process, abandoned their victims and fled.
According to him, the victims have since been reunited with their families.
The suspected kidnapper, identified as Usman Shagari, was arrested by the Uromi Police Division following credible intelligence and technical surveillance,
He is believed to be among the gang that kidnapped one Daniel Okoekhian and his wife on November 22, 2025.
