Southern Kaduna Group Hails Tinubu, Uba Sani Over Musa’s Appointment

A coalition of Southern Kaduna support groups have expressed strong approval of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appointment of General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd.) as Nigeria’s Minister of Defence.

The group under the Karkara ta Asiwaju da Uba Sani organization made the declaration at a briefing held at Epitome, Kaduna.

Addressing journalists, the convener, Jonah Pompo, described the moment as “a significant moment for us as an organization, for the good people of Kaduna State, and indeed for all Nigerians who believe in leadership that is purposeful, patriotic, and anchored on national rebirth.”

The group praised General Musa as “a man of honour, competence, and proven performance someone Nigerians can trust in this critical moment of our nation’s security evolution.”

They also commended Governor Uba Sani for his role in supporting the nomination, stating, “It is evident that since assuming office in 2023, Governor Uba Sani has shown a rare combination of leadership attributes: empathy, courage, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to the welfare and security of the people.”

Highlighting the collaboration between the President, the Governor, and General Musa, the group said, “Their collaboration helped to stabilize several communities, strengthen local security responses, and restore hope to residents who had long lived in fear of criminal elements.”

The coalition described the appointment as “not only well-deserved but also timely, strategic, and reflective of the President’s commitment to rebuilding and fortifying Nigeria’s security architecture,” adding that “his patriotism is unquestionable. His loyalty to the Nigerian people is profound.”

The group further expressed confidence in the synergy of federal and state leadership, saying, “Now, with General Musa taking charge at the federal level as Minister of Defense, we are confident that this synergy will deepen, expand, and yield even more impactful results not only for Kaduna State, but for the entire nation.”

The organization also called on Nigerians to support the APC-led administrations, noting, “Leadership is not about convenience it is about sacrifice, vision, and resilience in the face of national challenges. Both leaders have demonstrated these qualities repeatedly.”

On the achievements of the government, the group emphasized, “Most importantly, both the federal and state governments have remained committed to securing communities, protecting lives, and restoring peace.

“Security is the foundation of development and with a competent Minister of Defense now in place, we have strong reasons to anticipate significant improvements nationwide.”

Jonah Pompo reaffirmed the group’s commitment to the government, stating, “As an organization, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to supporting the transformative leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. We urge all Nigerians to unite behind them and contribute positively to the advancement of our nation.”
