Fubara Dissolves cabinet
Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has dissolved the State Executive Council, sacking all commissioners and special advisers.
Governor Fubara Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, announced the dissolution of the state executive council in a statement on Thursday.
Fubara, who recently reconciled once again with his predecessor, Chief Nyesom Wike, is said to have dissolved the state executive council to pave way for the consideration of new one, where members loyal to Wike would be considered.
He directed the former commissioners and special advisers to hand over to their respective permanent Secretaries.
Nzeshi said, “His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State, has dissolved the State Executive Council.
“His Excellency, the Governor, has therefore directed all Commissioners and Special Advisers to hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most Senior officers in their Ministries with immediate effect.
“His Excellency further expresses his deepest appreciation to the outgoing members of the Executive Council wishing them the best in their future endeavours.”
