
Gov Lawal Pledges Continued Support for Troops in Fight Against Banditry
Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security forces in their efforts to eliminate banditry across the state.
The governor gave the assurance while receiving the Theatre Commander of Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Idris Warrah, at the Government House in Gusau.
Lawal said his government was ready to work closely with the military and other security agencies to address the persistent security challenges confronting Zamfara, stressing that the fight against banditry requires collective responsibility.
“I received Major General Idris Warrah, the newly appointed Theatre Commander of Operation Fansan Yamma, and reiterated that my administration remains dedicated to working with and supporting the troops in their united efforts to eliminate banditry in Zamfara,” the governor said.
He noted that his administration had consistently supported security personnel deployed to the state, adding that such support would be sustained in the interest of safeguarding lives and property.
“We have consistently supported security personnel in Zamfara State and will continue to do so. Security concerns affect everyone, and as leaders, we all have a responsibility to contribute,” Lawal said.
