
Man sued for defrauding couple of N4m
The police in Lagos State, on Monday, arraigned a man, Ezekiel Oluwafemi, in a Badagry magistrates’ court for allegedly defrauding a couple of N4 million.
The prosecutor, ASP Edet Ekpo, told the court that the defendant committed the offences between May, 2024 and July, 2025, at the Iragon community in Badagry, Lagos.
He alleged that the defendant fraudulently obtained the sum of N4m from Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Ogbade under the pretense of helping them purchase livestock and cultivate yam and cassava.
He further said, “The defendant converted the money to his personal use without the consent of the couple. He was subsequently arrested and handed over to the police.”
The Magistrate, Mr. Nurudeen Layeni, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1m with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to February 19, 2026. (NAN)
