
SanlamAllianz reinforces commitment to education
Female employees of SanlamAllianz Nigeria, through the SanlamAllianz Women’s Network (SAWN), marked the International Day of Education with a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative at Gbara Community Senior Secondary School in Eti-Osa.
The outreach reinforced the company’s commitment to community development and inclusive progress through education.
The initiative benefited over 240 students with the donation of essential educational materials, care packs, and books to strengthen the school’s library.
Beyond material support, the engagement focused on motivating students to strive for academic excellence, build resilience, and prioritize personal care as a foundation for self-confidence and long-term success.
Speaking on the purpose of the initiative, Ogechi Ekwosimba, SAWN president/ growth manager, Alternate Distribution at SanlamAllianz Life Insurance, highlighted the network’s mission to empower women within the organisation while extending positive impact to the wider community.
She emphasized education as a critical driver of sustainable development.
The program also featured a keynote address by Abimbola Lawson, company secretary/ head of Legal and Compliance, who described education as a vital tool for self-reliance, informed decision-making and purposeful living.
The school’s principal, Abosede Oyewole, expressed gratitude for the support and assured that the donated resources would be effectively utilized. Overall, the initiative reflects SanlamAllianz’s dedication to aligning corporate values with impactful community action across Nigeria.
