Adamawa Govt Distributes 20 Ambulances to Rural Health Facilities in Madagali
The Adamawa State Government has distributed 20 ambulances to primary healthcare facilities serving rural communities in Madagali Local Government Area, in a move aimed at strengthening emergency medical response and improving access to healthcare at the grassroots.
The ambulances were provided by the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri through the Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade the state’s primary healthcare system, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.
Officials said the intervention is expected to significantly reduce delays in the referral of patients, especially pregnant women, children, and emergency cases, to higher-level health facilities. The initiative also aligns with the government’s broader commitment to improving health outcomes and ensuring equitable healthcare delivery across all parts of the state.
Community leaders and health workers in Madagali welcomed the development, describing it as a critical boost to healthcare services in rural areas where transportation challenges have often hindered timely medical attention.
The state government reiterated its resolve to continue investing in primary healthcare infrastructure, equipment, and personnel to ensure that residents, regardless of location, have access to quality and lifesaving medical services.
