Firm moves to tackle Nigeria’s housing crisis
A firm, Mowe Golf Town has moved to tackle Nigeria’s housing crisis by building affordable homes for residents in Ogun State.
In a statement the firm stated that owners of the first set houses were handed over their homes recently.
According to the statement, the completed homes were delivered to the owners, less than 11 months after construction began, marking the project’s initial delivery phase.
Homeowners formally took possession of their properties during a handover ceremony, while the firm also announced plans to expand into apartment units, affordable housing and wellness-focused residential offerings.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Vision and Strategy Officer, Labake Adetunmbi, said the estate is moving beyond single-family homes toward a broader housing mix aimed at meeting Nigeria’s changing residential needs.

She noted that the project is also introducing apartments and lower-cost housing options, alongside plans for an agricultural and wellness lifestyle concept designed to combine green spaces, community farming and residential living.
According to Adetunmbi, the development is transitioning from a housing project into a larger residential community, with additional products expected to roll out in phases over the year.
Also speaking, the Chief Legal Officer, Adaku Chibuike-Ochiuwa, said regulatory compliance and investor protection remain central to the project.` She explained that all delivered homes are backed by formal documentation and regulatory approvals, adding that the company intends to maintain the same legal standards as construction expands into new phases.
With further residential units planned, the developers say the focus will remain on completing ongoing builds while gradually introducing new housing types aimed at widening access to home ownership.
