
ZACAS Gets NBTE Approval for 10 ND Programmes as Provost commends Gov. Lawal for support
The Zamfara College of Arts and Science (ZACAS), Gusau, has secured accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to run 10 National Diploma (ND) programmes, marking a major academic milestone for the institution.
The Provost of the college, Malam Nura Salisu Anka, said the approval followed an accreditation exercise conducted by the NBTE between December 9 and 10, 2025. He explained that the accreditation authorises the college to commence the programmes from the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to him, the accredited courses include National Diploma in Common and Islamic Law, National Diploma in Law, National Diploma in Mass Communication, National Diploma in Computer Engineering, National Diploma in Public Administration, National Diploma in Computer Science, National Diploma in Geological Technology, National Diploma in Statistics, National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology, and National Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technician.
Anka described the development as a significant boost to academic and manpower development in the state, urging prospective students and members of the public to take advantage of the opportunity to enrol in the newly approved programmes.
He also commended Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, for his dedication and unwavering support, noting that the achievement reflected the state government’s commitment to strengthening tertiary education and expanding access to quality technical and professional training in Zamfara State.
