Kano by-election: PDP, NNPP, ADC absent on ballot papers
Major opposition parties including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), and African Democratic Congress (ADC) were missing on the ballot papers for the Kano State House of Assembly by-election, which held on Saturday.
The elections, which were conducted across 1,014 polling units in 24 registration areas, followed the deaths of Aminu Sa’ad Ungogo of Ungogo constituency and Sarki Aliyu of Kano Municipal constituency.
The two lawmakers died on same day in December 2025.
