
3 remanded over robbery in Ekiti
A magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has ordered the remand of three men, Ayeni Oluwasola (41), Tope Agbaje (48) and Godwin Pius Anawo (58), at the correctional custody in Ado-Ekiti over an alleged robbery.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the suspects were alleged to have committed the offences of conspiracy to commit robbery and armed robbery on one Ogunsakin Funmilayo and also received stolen property contrary to Sections 314, 321(2)(a) & (b) and 343 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
The defendants were represented in court by Barrister Richard Adeola, but their plea for bail was not taken.
The Magistrate, Mr Abayomi Adeosun, ordered their remand and adjourned the case to January 9, 2026.
