
Flutterwave pledges more support for Nigerian businesses
Flutterwave, a leading payments technology company in Africa, has expressed its renewed commitment to deepening relationships with Nigerian businesses and leaders driving the economy.
The company’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Olugbenga Agboola gave the assurance recently at a Gala Night that hosted decision-makers from the public sector and various industries including technology, aviation, hospitality, FMCG, insurance as well as fashion and beauty at Delborough, Lagos.
Flutterwave enables businesses across the world to expand their operations in Africa and other emerging markets through a platform that enables local and cross-border transactions.
Speaking on the significance of the night, Agboola, said Nigeria is Flutterwave’s home and remains one of its most important markets.
“Our goal is to build deeper relationships with the businesses and leaders driving the economy. Flutterwave has the infrastructure to support industries across aviation, hospitality, FMCG, tech, and beyond, and we are committed to working closely with Nigerian businesses as they grow locally and expand globally,” he said.
In his remarks, Dr. Stanley Ifeanyi Uzochukwu, Chairman and Founder of The Delborough, which co-hosted the event, said Flutterwave has created an enabling platform where businesses can thrive.

In his keynote address, the Guest of Honour and Chairman on the occasion, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, spoke on innovation, leadership, and the role of private enterprise in national development
The Obasanjo’s remarks set the stage for broader discussions around economic growth and Nigeria’s place in the global economy.
In attendance were President Olusegun Obasanjo; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, former President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Pastor Flourish Peters, President and CEO of Coscharis Group, Cosmas Maduka (CON) and Sir Olu Okeowo, Founder and Chairman of Gibraltar Construction Nigeria Limited.
Others were Dr. Michael Onuoha, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ailes Group, Ernest Ndukwe, Chairman of the Board of Directors, MTN Nigeria, Erica Nlewedim, veteran actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Tiwa Savage, and Dorathy Bachor.
The Coscharis boss, who spoke about the importance of building innovative, resilient businesses in Nigeria, commended Agboola for his leadership and vision, praising Flutterwave’s impact on the financial technology landscape across Africa.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also offered strong words of support for Agboola, urging him to continue the great work of building globally-competitive financial infrastructure from Nigeria.
The night ended on a high note with a live band, dancing and networking.
