How Ondo nursing mum, child were abducted

The police command in Ondo State has disclosed how a nursing mother and her baby were abducted at the Supare/Ajegunle axis in Akoko South West LGA.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, who disclosed the incident on Tuesday, said the abduction happened on Saturday.

He said, “I can confirm to you that a nursing mother and her child were kidnapped on January 3, by unknown gunmen at the Supare/Ajegunle Akoko axis.

“Efforts are already ongoing while the command has deployed security apparatus in that area in order to rescue the victims alive and unhurt.”

Meanwhile, it was further gathered that the victim, the wife of a popular furniture maker, and her child, were kidnapped in their house on Saturday night. (NAN)
