
FCT high court proceeds on vacation
Judges of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will from December 22, 2025, proceed on a two-week Christmas and New Year vacation.
The vacation will end on January 2, 2026, while the judges will begin regular sittings in their divisions on January 5, 2026.
The vacation was declared by the FCT Chief Judge (CJ), Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf, in a memo addressed to all the judges of the court dated December 2.
According to the memo, the CJ declared the vacation pursuant to the provisions of Order 48 Rule 4(c) of the extant Rules of the Court.
Justice Baba-Yusuf wished the judges and staff of the FCT High Court a fulfilled Christmas and prosperous New Year.
He said, “I wish your lordships and the entire staff of the FCT High Court a very happy, peaceful and highly fulfilled Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance.” (NAN)
