
Remi Tinubu meets Trump
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, met with United States President, Donald Trump, on Thursday.
Mrs Tinubu was invited to join President Trump on stage at the 74th Annual National Prayer Breakfast held on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC.
The US president publicly acknowledged her presence and paid tribute to her role as both Nigeria’s First Lady and a religious leader.
Addressing the audience amid applause, Trump said: “We’re honoured to be joined today by the First Lady of Nigeria, who also happens to serve as a Christian pastor at the largest church in Nigeria. A very respected woman. First Lady, please, where are you? Thank you very much.”
Daily Trust reports that the prayer breakfast is an annual gathering that brings together political leaders, religious figures and invited guests to reflect on faith, leadership and national unity.
