
Kano gov sympathises with Rogo community over fire incident
The Kano State governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has sympathised with residents of Rogo Local Government Area following a fire incident that damaged parts of Rogo General Hospital on Thursday.
In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor described the incident as “unfortunate and deeply saddening,” stressing that hospitals are vital community lifelines that must remain safe and operational at all times.
Governor Yusuf directed an immediate assessment of the damage and ordered a detailed report to be submitted without delay. He also mandated full renovation and rehabilitation of the affected sections to ensure the swift restoration of health care services to residents.
He assured the people of Rogo that his administration would remain committed to strengthening health facilities across all the 44 local government areas of the state.
