Black Fab unveils new single
Kindly share this story:
Afrobeats act, Black Fab, has unveiled a new single titled I Like Am, a house-influenced feel-good record crafted for living rooms, rooftops and late-night party circuits across Lagos.
The track draws from the singer’s favourite downtime routine—unwinding with endless house playlists and soaking in the energy of Lagos nightlife. The result is a fusion of mellow rhythms and vibrant dance music textures designed to resonate with wider audiences.
In the last year, Black Fab has continued to assert himself as a cultural voice for the Igala community, weaving indigenous expressions into Afrobeats on tracks such as Ukpokpu and Egwu. His 2025 project, Big Masquerade, also earned attention with songs like Ready featuring Ycee and Oyoyo featuring TML Vibez.
With I Like Am, the singer makes a conscious sonic shift, embracing house and club-leaning elements while maintaining his identity. In a bid to keep the music organic, the project features no major collaborations. He explained that he is “still waxing it with my own family,” preferring to preserve the chemistry of his core team rather than chase big-name features.
I Like Am signals a new chapter for Black Fab—one that expands his sound from Igala-rooted storytelling to a growing presence on global dance floors.
