Kuje chairman-elect urged to initiate healing process
A former commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Comrade Ezekiel Musa Dalhatu, has urged the Kuje Area Council Chairman-elect, Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo, to devise a reconciliation mechanism to bring all parties and contenders together for the council’s growth and development. Dalhatu, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), made the call in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Monday. He emphasized the need for a healing process to enable all stakeholders in the council to remain united and work toward a common goal. He noted that all party stakeholders in the council belong to one indivisible family, driven by a shared desire to serve the people through diverse platforms. “I also wish to personally appeal to my party, the PDP, and others in Kuje Area Council to accept the verdict of Saturday’s election—in which the APC candidate, Samuel Danjuma Shekwolo, emerged as the winner—in good faith. We should resist any attempt to engage in protracted legal battles across various courts,” he said. While congratulating the chairman-elect on his victory at the polls, Dalhatu also called on the residents of the council to support the incoming administration to ensure peace, unity, and sustainable development.
