Netflix Reviews: Goodbye June
GOODBYE JUNE (2025)
This was a very simple emotional movie, a Christmas movie with a twist, slightly different from the usual falling in love romantic style of movies. I almost went into tears, at the end of the movie and it really got me thinking. In the movie, June had a very elderly mother, who had four children: three girls and one boy. However, for some strange reason, they were all at odds and couldn’t agree on anything, which troubled June terribly. June was very ill and wasn’t recovering anymore, the last visit to the hospital the doctor told her she only had weeks to live and wasn’t sure she would make it to Christmas. This troubled June, but she had no choice but to make peace with it. You will need to go check out the movie to see how June managed the issues and challenges with her kids, find out if she was able to bring the kids together and if she made it to Christmas after all. The 116m British, drama, Tearjerker movie was directed Kate Winslet, they featured actors like Helen Mirren, Kate Winslet, Toni Collette, Johnny Flynn, Andrea Riseborough, Timothy Spall, Stephen Merchant, Fisayo Akinade e.t.c.
GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE (2025)
For the Ghostbuster movie lovers from way back, then this is for you, the first edition of the movie was released in 1984, and 40 years later they decided to bring us another edition, so if you enjoyed the previous one, then this is might also be worth our while, It was the same typical story but with a slightly different twist. In this sequel we have a family of about 4 or 5 and they had some friends who worked with them each time they needed to capture a ghost and stop them from disrupting the activities in the city. In this new movie they must all put their resources and strength together to capture a very bad ghost that was attacking the city, this bad ghost went round the city and anyway it passed everything became frozen, this was a very big issue. The Ghostbusters must work together to trap the ghost and bring the city back to normal activities, do check it out to find out if they were successful with this mission. The 118m family films, Sci-fi, comedies, action was directed by Gil Kenan they featured actors like Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumali Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Logan Kim, Celeste O’Connor, James Acaster and many more.
EVIL INFLUENCER: THE JODI HILDEBRANT STORY (2025)
This week we are reviewing something different from the usual Christmas movies. This was a documentary about a lady who used her influence and religion to lead people astray. Jodi was a vibrant young lady that started a community called Connexion, she built a community where she teaches couples how to live holy lives and to make sacrifices in their marriages to make it work. When Jodi started, she started off very well, but along the line, Jodi began to teach doctrines that were really different from the main christian doctrine, she preyed on the emotions of her community members and led them astray. You will need to go check out the movie to find out what she and her business partner did to kids, how one of them escaped and why they were arrested, the movie was a real eye opener for me, it’s important that we check and control all we listen to and adopt in our lives and families. The 101m Crime documentary, true documentary was directed by Skye Borgman. The Cast covered contributors like Jodi Hildebrant, Jessica Bate, Eric Clarke, Ethan Prete, Valerie Jackson, Natasha Helfer, Laura Howells Leavitt.
