Our business built on integrity, alleged sharp practices under probe — Neolife
Global wellness company, Neolife, has said its business strategies are built on integrity that gives no room for sharp or unethical practices and exploitation.
Neolife International has announced an immediate and wide-reaching investigation into its Nigerian operations following reports of unethical practices by some distributors in its Nigerian operations to unravel those behind the reported misconduct and alleged manipulations.
These are contained in a statement by the Vice President, Legal, Neolife, Mr. Douglas Graham, on Tuesday, while reacting to a report in a national newspaper where some independent distributors of the company, were accused of recruiting marketers with false promises.
It added that the company wouldn’t allow anyone representing NeoLife to exploit or manipulate marketers and innocent youths under the pretence of devising strategies to maximise profits.
The statement reads, “This is not to react to any reports without investigating the allegations in the said reports. Our sincere intention is to get to the bottom of these alleged unethical practices, manipulations by upline, and recruitment based on promises that never existed. To hear that our platform has been used by some to exploit the very people we aim to empower is unacceptable. We are not just looking into this to clear our name; we are doing this to seek justice. “To achieve this, we have begun a thorough investigation that will be all-encompassing to expose those who might have been involved in some of these alleged misconducts, manipulation or exploitation.” According to the company, while some independent distributors have been suspended, Neolife would go further than the probe. “The outcome of our investigation will not be swept under the carpet. If our investigation confirms criminal activity, we will be the ones handing the evidence over to the authorities. Neolife has a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of unethical conduct including the allegations of manipulation or falsehood to promote its business,” it stated. The statement explained that as a company of over 67 years of experience, the organisation had built a solid reputation across the globe that’s backed by uncompromising integrity. “We don’t just practise integrity by saying it; it is what we stand for which has helped our brand to grow in over 50 countries of the world,” it added. Neolife lamented the reported involvement of youths and students, some of who were claimed to have lost their schools fees trying to earn a decent living. .
