How Nigerian Police Under IGP Egbetokun Spent N104.9million To Produce Officers' Berets
On October 22, 2025, a sum of N21.8 million was paid to Fasmaz Kiri Enterprise for the production of "1550 pieces of acp-igp customised berets."
A SaharaReporters' review of the public payments portal, Govspend, has shown that the Nigerian police under the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun paid a total of N104.9million for the production of ACP-IGP berets.
Earlier, on August 28, 2025, another sum of N83.1 million was paid to Jh Partners Limited for the production of 5,000 pieces of ACP-IGP berets, according to information on Govspend.
In September 2025, a SaharaReporters' review of Govspend also revealed that the Nigerian Police spent several millions of Naira to produce Inspector General of Police branded towels in 2024. These payments were made under the current IGP, Kayode Egbetokun.
The review shows that on April 30, 2024, a sum of N8.4 million was paid to Oran Global Investment Limited for the "Supply of 780 No's Inspector General of Police customised towels and other items."
On the same day, N8.5 million was paid to Chumchuks Investment Limited for the supply of "700 IGPs customised towels and other items for distribution to command and formation."
Also on April 30, 2024, N8.6 million was paid to Waves Fillment Limited for the supply of "640 No's of IGP's customised towels and other items for distribution to commands and formations of the Nigerian Police Force."
Later that same day, another N8.7 million was paid to Oran Global Investment Limited for the supply of "920 IGP's customised towel and other items for distribution to commands and formations of the NPF."
Further review shows that on November 14, 2024, a sum of N8.7 million was paid to Oran Global Investment Limited for the supply of "800 numbers IGP customised towels and other items to be distributed to commands and formations."
On the same date, another N7.9 million was paid for the "supply of 700 pcs IGP's customised towels and other items," and an additional N8.6 million was paid for the supply of "IGP's customised towel and other items to be distributed to commands and formations."
This means that between April and November 2024, a total of N59.4 million was spent on producing Inspector General of Police customized towels and "other items."
Previously, a SaharaReporters' review of Govspend revealed that the Nigerian Police Force spent N7.073 million to purchase twenty-five cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits. According to details on the portal, the payment was made on October 26, 2023, to Danlokey Systems Limited. The description read:
"Being payment for the supply of twenty five cartons of Cream crackers biscuits (Dry ration) for logistics requirements/consumables for personnel deployed to carry out discreet security ops and info gathering activities."
With N7.073 million spent on twenty-five cartons, each carton would have cost N282,928.
In another instance, on October 4, 2023, a sum of N7.073 million was again paid to Danlokey Systems Limited for the supply of thirty cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits. The description read:
"Being payment for the supply of 30 cartons of Cream crackers biscuits (Dry ration) for logistics requirements/consumables for personnel deployed to carry out discreet security ops and intelligence in Taraba State."
On August 30, 2023, another N8.136 million was paid to Danlokey Systems Limited for the supply of thirty cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits. The description read:
"Being payment for the supply of 30 cartons of Cream crackers biscuits (Dry ration) for logistics requirements/consumables for personnel deployed to carry out discreet security operations in Yobe State."
In total, the Nigerian Police spent N22.282 million on eighty-five cartons of Cream Crackers biscuits, meaning each carton across the three payments cost an average of N261,717.
