
Glo apologises for nationwide data outage, promises swift restoration

Telecommunications provider Glo has apologised to its customers following a nationwide data service disruption that began on the morning of Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
In a statement released by the company, Glo confirmed that the outage, which started at 8:30 a.m., affected multiple locations across the country.
“Earlier today, a data service outage occurred nationwide, affecting data connectivity across multiple locations,” the company said.
Glo reassured subscribers that its technical team is working diligently to restore services.
“Our technical team is working to resolve the issue and ensure services are being restored as quickly as possible,” the statement read.
Acknowledging the inconvenience caused, the provider expressed gratitude to its customers for their understanding.
“We understand how important reliable access is to you and sincerely apologise for the disruption,” the company said.
The statement concluded by thanking customers for their trust. “Thank you for your patience and for choosing Glo. We truly appreciate you,” it added.
Glo also used its social media platforms to reach out to affected users, reinforcing its commitment to resolving the outage promptly.
