The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared his unwavering commitment to his signature dance moves, firmly stating that his hobby does not interfere with his official duties as a governor.
Adeleke, widely known as the “dancing governor” due to his frequent and energetic public displays of dancing, defended his personal style during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday.
The governor, who is seeking re-election in 2026 under the banner of the Accord Party, dismissed suggestions that his lively approach could negatively impact his political standing.
“I will keep dancing because I love to dance, I love to praise my God, and that doesn’t change anything,” Adeleke said.
“So, I will still dance, praise my God, and do my work. Everybody has their way of relaxing. My hobby is to dance and praise my God, that does not affect my work.”
PUNCH reports that the governor recently became a subject of conversation after he began singing praises instead of immediately delivering his address at an event, leading to an interruption from First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.
The incident drew mixed reactions online, but Remi Tinubu later dismissed the ensuing public backlash as a needless controversy.
