
APC chieftain rewards FCoE sports fiesta medal winners

An All Progressive Congress chieftain who is also the Initiator and benefactor of the Federal College of Education Ofeme Ohuhu, High Chief Ikechi Emenike, onMonday rewarded the college team that won medals at the just concluded first Abia State Tertiary Education Sports Fiesta.
Emenike, who was a governorship candidate in the 2023 elections in Abia State, expressed his happiness over the performance of the institution, stating, “This college is not up to a year, yet you did not only participate, but was able to win two silver and a bronze medal.
The medallists are Fred Felicia – Sliver (single), Christopher Jessica Oluomachi and Fred Felicia – Silver(double), as well as Divine Solomon Udoka (bronze).
Emenike announced the prize award of N100,000 for each silver medallist and fifty thousand naira for the bronze, adding, “My token is to encourage you to do more, to tell you that we are interested in your welfare and will stop at nothing to make this institution the best in sports and teacher education in Nigeria”.
Emenike, who spoke through the Provost of the college, Dr Titus Sunday Ezeme, used the forum to equally congratulate the coaching crew and other students who participated in the sports fiesta for making the college proud and pledged his continuous support and encouragement to the College.
The College Librarian, Mr Bulus Caleb Damian expressed his appreciation to the school Provost, Dr Titus Sunday Ezeme for his support and motivation.
In a vote of thanks, an Integrated Science/Biology student of the college, Chidi Eberechukwu Joel, described Emenike as a role model and pillar of support, not just to the college, but to youths in general.
