Osun 2026: We are yet to pick our guber candidate – ADC
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared that it is yet to choose a candidate for the 2026 governorship election in Osun.
Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the party, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday said media reports claiming otherwise were not true.
The coalition party said a time table to that effect has been released and called on aspirants to stick to the timetable as the ADC was committed to its internal democracy.
Part of the statement said, ADC would like to “affirm our earlier statement that videos and social media posts claiming that the party has “picked” a candidate are false and should be disregarded.
“For the purpose of conducting the primaries to elect the party’s flagbearer for the 2026 governorship election in Osun, a timetable has been released and widely publicised. All aspirants are urged to adhere strictly to the guidelines.”
The opposition party said for the avoidance of doubts, “the ADC remains committed to the highest standards of internal democracy, anchored on a free, fair and transparent electoral process.”
