Emere JD Nkpe, paramount rule of Alesa in Eleme LGA of Rivers State, says his eyes have again seen the return of unity in his community.
The king spoke at the presentation ceremonies at the grand finale of the revived Alesa Unity Tournament sponsored by the Mayor of Housing, My-ACE China, CEO of the Housing and Construction Mayor Limited.
The king is paramount head of the hosts of the Alesa Highlands Sustainable Development Green Smart City soon to emerge in the oil/gas axis of the state capital.
The king said markets and all businesses closed to respect the tournament, just because of the Mayor of Housing and Alesa people were at the stadium. He said Alesa which many said was divided for many years has reunited. Urging the media to help spread the message of unity, he told his people thus: “Alasa is united. It’s your business if you don’t want to be united, so long as the whole world has seen that we are united here.”
He said the community decided to return to unity because evil people were exploiting the disunity to exploit the place especially in land matters. “Some of our people are selling most lands. We don’t want that again. We want to make sure that if you are buying land in Alasa, you are buying it from the right people.
“That’s why we have selected some of our people who know what they are doing. So Alasa is one of the communities in the whole nation that have set up such land committee.

This, he said, is because some time in the past, “People just come to our community and buy land. At the end of the day, they start quarrelling. Those days are gone. That is why we are grateful to those who made this unity and land sanity possible. Here is unity playground, where the Mayor of Housing has been doing a lot. He is today a member of this community.”
He went on: “And we are sending this message to all people who want to buy land here, that we have an office. And I’m sending this warning to our children who are troubling people who want to invest. If you try, you go. Because we want investors to come here and develop. Because by the next five years, Alasa is going to be more developed than all these communities around.
“I don’t want to call any name, but I call parents, warn your children, warn your husbands, warn your wives, let nobody obstruct investors who are coming here. If you are an investor coming to Alasa, we have an office there. Don’t ever go to anybody to seek your anything for investment.”
Palace secretary: join the investment train
Mba Olor Godwin Dibia, the Alesa palace administrative secretary to the One-Eh-Alesa, said the day of the final was a remarkable one, recognizing the fact that a very famous and a noble investor, a real estate developer, Mayor of Housing, has done broken the jinx in bringing all camps and all people together again to make Alesa to bubble again in December.
He said most citizens were excited to see the day as the grand finale of the Alesa Unity Football Tournament. “Having gone through the stages, we are here today to play the final and we are grateful to him.
“My advice to the people of Alessa is for them key into the developmental drive of the Mayor of Housing and try to come together to maintain peace. This way, we can all move on into the dreams of Mayor towards making Alessa a good place to live.”
