
WealthBridge Initiative Inveils N700m University Scholarship

Bridge Charity Foundation, an initiative of WealthBridge Financial Services Holdings Limited, has announced the launch of the Bridge Foundation University Scholarship Programme, a N700 million education support initiative designed to empower Nigerian university students and strengthen access to quality tertiary education across the country.
The scholarship programme underscores the Foundation’s commitment to education, social mobility, and long-term nation-building, with a focus on supporting academically outstanding students who demonstrate leadership potential, strong character, and financial need.
Under the programme, six successful applicants from 11 universities all over the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria will benefit from tuition payment, annual financial stipends, structured mentorship, and internship opportunities, providing both financial relief and practical exposure to prepare them for leadership roles in the future.
Speaking on the launch,Group Chief Executive Officer of WealthBridge Financial Services Holdings Limited, Ahmed Adekunle Lawal said the initiative reflects the Group’s belief in education as a catalyst for sustainable development.
“At WealthBridge, we believe that access to quality education is one of the most
powerful tools for shaping the future of individuals, communities, and the nation at
large. The Bridge Educational Scholarship Programme is our deliberate investment
in Nigeria’s next generation of leaders—young people with the potential to drive innovation, economic growth, and positive societal change,” Lawal said.
He added that the programme goes beyond financial support, emphasizing the importance of mentorship and exposure in building well-rounded graduates.
The Bridge Charity Foundation stated that the scholarship selection process will be rigorous, transparent, and merit-driven, overseen by an independent committee comprising respected professionals from academia, finance, etc.
The Foundation emphasized that the calibre and diversity of the selection committee reinforces its commitment to fairness, credibility, and excellence in administering the programme. The Bridge Foundation University Scholarship is currently open to eligible Nigerian university students nationwide.
